Two uniquely American Summer Camp things
A Sloppy Joe is ground beef cooked in a sweet-and-savory tomato-based sauce (usually with ketchup, Worcestershire, onion, maybe some mustard or brown sugar) and served on a hamburger bun. Brits might just call it mince in sauce on a bun or joke about it being a "messy burger" or "bolognese bap."
Gaga, sometimes called gaga ball, is a variant of dodgeball that is played in a gaga "pit". The game combines dodging, striking, running, and jumping, with the objective of being the last person standing. Players hit the ball at each other with their hands and are eliminated if the ball strikes them on or below the knee.
